Seven individuals were injured after a Honda Accord vehicle crashed into another vehicle. Prior to the crash, the Honda Accord was seen traveling southbound on Bacom Point Road, also known as State Road 715. The driver failed to turn when the road curved and drove off its west side. The vehicle rolled over, throwing everyone inside it out of the car.

According to the sheriff’s office, evidence at the scene showed that neither alcohol nor drugs were a factor of the crash. Authorities, however, could not identify who the driver was.

A 14-year-old boy of Belle Glade was confirmed dead at the crash scene. He was in the car with a friend who was in critical condition at Delray Medical Center.

The other six people in the car sustained injuries in the crash, the sheriff’s office said. They were transported to the hospital shortly after the accident occurred.
