A Hobe Sound woman died and two men were hospitalized in a serious condition after a three-vehicle crash in southern Martin County, Florida Highway Patrol said.
Martin County Fire Rescue reported that the three-vehicle crash occurred at the intersection of Southwest 96th Street and Southwest Green Ridge Lane south of Palm City.
A 46-year old woman was driving a 2017 Nissan Pathfinder west on 96th Street as a 1998 Ford F-150, driven by a 33-year old man of Port St. Lucie and a 2013 Ford F-150 driven by another 34-year old man of Stuart, were heading east toward the bridge.
The Nissan had crossed into the eastbound lane when it collided with the side of the pickup, FHP said.
The Nissan driver was pronounced dead at the crash scene, FHP said. While a 19-year-old passenger in the Nissan was taken to the Lawnwood Regional Medical Center & Heart Institute in Fort Pierce with serious injuries.
Everyone involved in the accident were wearing seat belts, FHP said. FHP is investigating the crash.
