A fatal accident on I-95 has stopped traffic and forced the closure of the highway for several hours.
Willie Hill, who was on a scooter, was hit by a driver in the northbound lane on the Broward Road overpass. The impact had sent 47-year old man flying out off the bike. He was then run over by an 18-wheeler. His scooter was pinned under the truck. He was then struck by a third vehicle.
According to the Florida Highway Patrol, The driver of the third vehicle did not notice he had hit someone until after the fact. As soon as they did, they contacted the police.
All 1-95 northbound lanes were closed to traffic. Drivers were forced to leave the Road. This caused traffic delays for drivers attempting to get past the scene where the accident had occurred.
The highway has been re-opened to traffic. The identity of the drivers involved in the accident had not yet been revealed as police are still investigating the crash.
