A Palm Beach man and his son were among three people killed in a Palm Beach County car crash, police said.
The 65-year-old man and his 34-year-old son were killed when their Toyota Corolla collided with a BMW, authorities said. The driver of the BMW, a 27-year-old man of Palm Beach, was also killed in the wreck, police said.
“The two cars were seriously damaged,” a man told police. “The front end of both cars were smashed up to the front doors. It looked like the motor was in their laps. It was terrible.”
Police said the driver of the BMW was traveling eastbound when he swerved into the westbound lane and crashed into the Toyota near the intersection of a Palm Beach Avenue.
A girl who lives on the street where the two cars collided, said she heard the collision. “There is a gully here in the road near the intersection and we hear cars hitting it,” she said.
First emergency responders arrived shortly after the accident happened. The victims were pronounced dead at the scene of the accident.
