A 65-year old Palm Beach County resident was walking his dog on 87th Street in Palm Beach County when a taxi crashed into him, according to Florida Highway Patrol officials.
A man was walking his dog when a taxi driver lost control of his vehicle and crashed into him. He later passed away in the hospital, according to his friend, who created an iconic acoustic-performance series to mourned the loss of his unique friend.
“He was a terrific human being. He just had a knack for making people happy,” said the victim’s friend, who had recently renewed his relationship with the victim after the pair lost touch.
The Florida Highway Patrol said the pooch with him was a seeing-eye dog, but both the victim’s friend and victim’s longtime doormen say the canine was just a regular pet. The dog survived the crash, they said.
