Carjacker Hit And Injured By SUV After Ditching Stolen Vehicle On The Indian River County Parkway
A man ditched a vehicle he carjacked on Indian River County Parkway was struck by an oncoming SUV when he ran across the highway, according to Florida Highway Patrol officials reports.
The carjacking happened in Wabasso Beach and Vero Beach in Indian River County. A man approached a Nissan Maxima driver, demanded the vehicle and then sped away, the Media reported.
After some time, the same Nissan was heading north on Indian River County Parkway when the driver suddenly stopped in the center lane, got out and then walked into the southbound lanes between the Gifford and Sebastian exits, Florida Highway Officials said.
A Subaru Forrester driving in the left lane suddenly slammed into the carjacker, according to reports.
State Police could not confirm the injured person’s gender, age, or role in the carjacking but the media reported that it is believed to be the suspect. A weapon was found inside the Nissan, the police reported.
