A tragic St. Lucie County car accident killed two teenage girls and left two others injured.
A 17-year old girl was driving on Route 49 in River Park when a different Dodge Caravan lost control and rear-ended her car, immediately killing her. Another 15-year old girl was rushed to a local hospital, where she also died, state police said.
The two other girls in the car were in stable condition. The Press of St. Lucie County identified them as a 16 and a 17-year old girl.
Two of the girls were going into their Senior year at a High School in the County, according to social media posts.
Cops did not know what caused the 17-year old girl’s car to veer off the road. No other cars were involved in the accident.
“Our hearts and prayers go out to the families, and certainly we are praying for the two students who are in the hospital right now. We want them to pull through and recover from the crash,” she told the paper.
