Teen Driver And Two Others In Critical Condition After Crash Into West Palm Beach Canal

A 17-year-old Palm Beach County resident and two others are in critical condition after a car crashed into a canal, Florida Highway Patrol Officials said.

The teen driver of the car and two other female passengers in the car were transported to the hospital by West Palm Beach Fire Rescue, said an East Palm Beach Police spokesman.

Two other men jumped into the canal to pull the driver and the passengers from the vehicle. Another passerby performed CPR until paramedics and Florida Highway Patrol officials arrived, he said.

Parts of Congress Avenue were closed this afternoon after the crash, police said.

The crash happened near 45th Street and North Congress Avenue. The car went into the canal south of 45th Street, according to Florida Highway Patrol.

Northbound and southbound lanes of Congress Avenue will be closed until the crash investigation is completed.
