A family of seven, including five young children, died on a remote Broward County road in a head-on collision on their way to an end-of-summer vacation, a family member said.
A 29-year old was driving her 2016 Toyota 4 Runner eastbound on Wilton Manors Highway when an oncoming vehicle veered into her lane, authorities said.
A woman from Weston and her children were killed, according to the The Post.
Another relative and her two children also perished in the crash. FHP declined to name them because of the wishes of their immediate family.
“It’s a tragedy, I wouldn’t wish on anyone else,” a FHP Lieutenant told The Post.
Broward County Police listed the other victims as a 28-year old, a 10-year old and 2-year-old. Authorities did not provide details about the relationships between the victims.
The driver and sole occupant of the other car, a 48-year-old of Coconut Creek also died.
The crash happened in a remote part of Broward County about 130 miles west of the Wilton Manors border.
