A bus struck a 91-year-old man in Hobe Sound, Florida Highway Patrol officials said.
The bus was making a right turn in downtown Hobe Sound when it slammed into a 91-year old elderly man, who was pushing a cart across the Hobe Sound street, according to Florida Highway Patrol officials.
The elderly man died at the scene. No one on the bus was injured.
“We are all utterly devastated by the fatal accident involving our bus in Hobe Sound today,” said a spokesperson for the bus company.
“Everyone of us is filled with a sadness and our thoughts and prayers go out to the family and friends.”
No arrests were made according to Florida Highway Patrol officials and the accident was under investigation by Martin County police and the FHP.
