An Indian River County man was tragically killed when the truck he was driving was hit head-on by a car near Florida Ridge.
His partner a 27-year old woman, who was also in the truck, was trapped before emergency workers could free her.
The 33-year old man will always be remembered as a man who loved his family, friends and his job. His step-daughter said the horrible crash has been a massive shock to friends and family in Indian River County.
“The 33-year old man was loved by so many and we all just miss him,” she said.
His 27-year old partner was flown to Palm Beach in a critical condition but is now on her way to recovering.
The man was tragically killed when the semi-trailer he was driving collided with a car about near Florida Ridge.
Police believe the other vehicle, a Toyota Camry, crossed to the wrong side of the road, causing the head-on collision.
The 31-year-old driver of that Camry was also killed.
It took a while for emergency service crews to free the 27-year old woman from the wreckage of the truck.
Her daughter said her mother was doing much better after she was initially flown to Palm Beach County in a critical condition.
Her daughter said she and her siblings were holding up well, despite the devastation of losing their stepfather and the serious injuries to their mother.
