A woman has died after being struck by a car on Wellington Avenue. Police said, a pedestrian had been hit by a car and was trapped underneath the vehicle.
Police have launched an investigation after the woman was reported dead when she was struck by a vehicle on Wellington Avenue.
Emergency services were called to Wellington Ave, near the intersection of Delray Beach, after the Florida Highway Patrol reported a pedestrian had been struck by a vehicle.
Florida Highway Patrol officers arrived to find a woman trapped under a vehicle.
Palm Beach County paramedics rendered CPR, however the woman died at the scene.
Crash scene investigators arrived at the scene to investigate the circumstances surrounding the fatality.
Police and the Florida Highway Patrol said the driver of the vehicle was not severely injured during the incident.
She was taken to a nearby hospital for mandatory drug and alcohol testing.
Inquiries into the matter are continuing and a report will be prepared for the Coroner.
