Louis Riesman Killed In Two-Vehicle Crash In The Acreage

A 93-year-old man is dead after driving through a stop sign and crashing with a tractor-trailer in The Acreage, the Palm Beach County Sheriff’s Office said.

Louis Riesman was driving a 1999 Toyota sedan north on Hall Boulevard, the sheriff’s office said. He didn’t stop at the stop sign at the intersection at Northlake Boulevard and collided with a westbound tractor-trailer, driven by a 58-year-old man who lives west of the West Palm Beach city limits.

Both vehicles ended up in a wooded area on the north side of Northlake west of Hall Boulevard. The tractor-trailer flipped, but the driver was not injured.

Palm Beach County Fire Rescue authorities pronounced Riesman dead at the scene. Records indicate he lived about 4 miles east off Northlake Boulevard.

The Florida Highway Patrol said they are still trying to determine if either drugs or alcohol had a part to play in the crash and urge anyone with any information concerning the car crash to contact the Florida Highway Patrol as soon as possible.

Accident attorney Jason Weisser of Schuler, Halvorson, Weisser, Zoeller and Overbeck responded to this unfortunate crash. “This is a serious accident resulting in several serious injuries.
