Police say the 24-year-old Riviera Beach resident was driving a Nissan Altima north on Australian Avenue when he drove through a red light at the intersection of Banyan Boulevard and slammed into a Toyota Camry that was turning left.

The front passenger in the Camry, 35-year-old Sahara Wyne, was thrown from the car as it turned clockwise onto Australian. The West Palm Beach resident died at St. Mary’s hospital.

The 29-year-old Camry driver was seriously injured in the wreck. Nurses told police last month that he likely wouldn’t survive his injuries, however, he remained hospitalized in critical condition, a hospital spokesman said.

The Altima’s front passenger, 26-year-old Cameron Dale of Riviera Beach, died at the scene.

Dale’s family declined to speak with The Post.

The 24-year old driver broke both his legs and appears to have spent some time in a hospital. Court records indicate he was booked into the Palm Beach County Jail for failing to appear to court in an unrelated traffic case. From there he was transferred to Martin County, where he is accused of missing a court date in a drug case.

West Palm Beach police said the 24-year-old’s blood alcohol was nearly twice the legal limit.

The back seat passenger in the Altima, 25-year-old Deandre Burgess, sustained non-life threatening injuries in the wreck. Police arrested him on a charge of carrying a concealed firearm. He remains jailed with his bail set at $60,000
