A 27-year old man was killed in a crash on Interstate 95, Florida Highway Patrol reports.
The crash happened in the eastbound lanes of Interstate 95 near the 260th Street exit during a heavy downpour of rain, police authorities said.
A 46-year old man of Port St. Lucie, was driving a red minivan when it veered off the eastbound lane, jumped the curb and barreled through grass and weeds before it came back on eastbound lane and crash into a Honda Accord, Palm Beach County police said.
The 46-year old died at the scene, according to the Delray Medical Examiner’s Office.
A passenger in his van was taken to a local hospital for treatment. That person’s condition was not yet made known.
The driver in the Honda Accord, and two passengers in his vehicle sustain non-life threatening injuries and were taken to a nearby hospital.
