Family members said a woman who was found dead in Pompano Beach on Interstate 95 had been on a first date when she fell off a motorcycle and was run over.
The family of 33-year-old Jennifer St. Clair said the young woman was on a date with a man she met online. The pair went to a restaurant in Delray Beach and were heading back home when they claim she fell off the back of the man’s motorcycle after the motorcycle had struck a school bus in the middle of I-95 near Atlantic Boulevard.
St. Clair was run over several times by the bus while she was in the road.
“We’re still trying to process all of this,” said St. Clair’s aunt. “We’re trying to get closure.”
“We know that the gentleman who was driving the motorcycle that night tried leaving the scene of the accident before he was caught by FHP on I-95,” her aunt said. “It doesn’t get much worse.”
FHP said, the driver of the school bus ,a 27-year old from Wellington, showed much remorse, and claimed he didn’t notice the motorcycle.
“There were three motorcycles. One of the operators of the motorcycles apparently called 911,” FHP said.
FHP is asking anyone with information or saw St. Clair on the highway to call Broward County Crime Stoppers.
