The Florida Highway Patrol said, a 50-year-old West Palm Beach man died in Palm Beach County when he was hit by a vehicle traveling in the opposite direction.
The crash happened in the Delray Beach
A 2000 Honda Odyssey driven by a 56-woman of Wellington, was traveling east on SW Boulevard when it left its lane of travel and entered the travel lane of a 1988 Ford Crown Victoria.
The Crown Victoria, driven by 50-year-old Joseph Grant of West Palm Beach, was traveling west on SW Boulevard.
The front of the Odyssey struck the front of Grant’s vehicle, causing severe damage to the car.
Grant was confirmed dead at the scene.
A passenger in Grant’s car,48-year-old Sheila Jakes of West Palm Beach, was transported by air to Delray Medical Center with serious injuries.
The Odyssey driver was also taken to Delray Medical Center with serious injuries.
It is unknown at this time if any occupants were wearing a seat belt.
The crash remains under investigation and charges are pending in the case. Anyone with additional information relating to the crash should contact the Florida Highway Patrol officials.
