A 5-year-old child is dead after being struck by a SUV in Boynton Beach, according to the Boynton Beach Police Department.

The accident happened at the intersection of Miner Road and West Federal Highway. According to witnesses, the child was struck during a high-speed police chase on Minor Road.

According to the Palm Beach County Sheriff’s Office, the driver of the white SUV that struck and killed the 5-year-old has been identified as 20-year-old man from Boynton Beach.
