57-Year-Old Drunk Florida Driver Arrested For Deadly Crash That Killed One And Injured One
A 57-year old Florida man has just been convicted in a drunk driving crash that left a 26-year old motor scooter passenger dead.
The Martin County Police Department reports that a 57-year-old man was found guilty of the DUI manslaughter and other related charges.
Authorities and the Florida Highway Patrol officials say, the 57-year old man was driving his pickup truck on a Port Salerno road when he had struck another scooter ridden by a 26-year-old West Palm Beach County man and a 42-year-old Delray Beach man. The truck and scooter caught fire. The 57-year old driver tried fleeing the scene of the crash before being caught by police officials, Florida Highway Patrol and police authorities reported.
The crash left the 42-year old man dead and the 26-year old seriously injured.
Police authorities and the Florida Highway Patrol officials say, they found the 57-year old Florida driver behind a drug store trying to flee from the crash scene.
Records and investigations had later shown that he had a blood-alcohol level of 0.358 percent. The Florida law considers a driver impaired at 0.08 percent.
