1 Dead, Another Injured In Rollover Crash Near Summit Boulevard And Kirk Road

The Palm Beach County Sheriff’s Office and the Florida Highway Patrol said, a 2003 Ford F350, driven by a 50-year-old man of suburban West Palm Beach, was traveling westbound on Summit Boulevard approaching Kirk Road when the crash occurred.

A 2008 Kia Sorento, driven by Dorethea Collier, 54, of suburban West Palm Beach, was traveling northbound on Kirk Road approaching Summit Boulevard.

As both vehicles entered the intersection, the front of the 2003 Ford F350 truck collided with the passenger side of the Kia.

The Ford F350 truck then rotated and overturned, sliding northwest. The driver side of the cab struck a cement utility pole.

The Kia rotated and overturned, coming to rest on the northwest side of the intersection on the grass facing northwest.

The 2003 Ford F350 driver was pronounced dead at the scene by Palm Beach County Fire Rescue.

Collier was transported to JFK Hospital with serious injuries.

Florida Highway Patrol and the Palm Beach Police Department said, the crash is still under investigation, as the police are still trying to determine if toxicity was part of the crash.

Florida Highway Patrol and the Palm Beach Police Department is urging those with relevant information concerning the crash to come forward.
