Seven individuals were inside a Honda Accord when it crashed. According to the Palm Beach sheriff’s office, evidence at the scene showed that either alcohol or drugs may have been the cause of the crash. Authorities, however, could not identify who the driver was.

Ivan Alcala, 15, of Belle Glade was confirmed dead at the crash scene. He was in the car with a friend who is in critical condition at Delray Medical Center.

Prior to the crash, the Honda Accord was seen traveling southbound on Bacom Point Road, also known as State Road 715. The driver failed to turn when the road curved and had drove off its west side. The vehicle started rolling and flipping, throwing everyone inside it out of the car and onto the ground, before finally crashing into Toyota Corolla.

Victims that sustain minor injuries in the crash were Jose Benitez, 16, Jiovanni Huerta, 21, Joel Martinez, 22, Jose Lara, 23, and Alonso Aberlardo, 19, the sheriff’s office said. They had been taken to a nearby hospital.
