PBSO Sheriff Deputy Involved In A Crash That Injured Two Boca Raton Residents
A 34-year-old man and another 27-year-old woman were injured when a 2018 Chevrolet Silverado pickup, driven by a sheriff deputy, hit their Chevrolet Tahoe SUV, according to the Delray Beach police.
A Delray Medical Center Spokesman said, that the 34-year-old is in a very critical condition while the 27-year-old man’s condition is fair.
According to the mother of the 27-year old crash victim, the victim had graduated from West Boca Raton High and had just finished his freshman year at the University of Central Florida and aspires to be an aeronautics engineer.
“He’s amazing,” his mom sobbed. “He will be written in the history journals and books some day.” The father of the 27-year-old said he did not want to make any comment or give any information about his son.
Florida Highway Patrol officials, said the crash happened about three blocks northeast of well known corner of Atlantic and Swinton Avenue.
The sheriff’s deputy who was driving the Silverado was uninjured, FHP reported.
Police have not yet filed any charges as they are still investigating the crash. They haven’t said if they are suspecting alcohol or drugs to be the major cause of the crash.
