The 27-year-old driver who fled from police authorities some time ago in Boynton Beach and seriously injured eight others along the way, now faces an adult felony charge, records show.
Police authorities say, the 17-year-old was driving a black Acura MDX when it crashed on West Palmetto Park Road east of Interstate 95. Five teens, ranging in age from 13 to 19, were also in the Acura, police records show.
Their car crashed into two others and injured three men, including a 58-year-old father of three who was only a few miles from home.
The high-speed crash followed reports of a home burglary and an armed robbery all within a few-miles in Boynton Beach.
A woman heard banging noises and saw three males kicking in the back window of her neighbor’s home just north of West Palmetto Park Road east of Interstate 95. The burglars reportedly took an Apple computer monitor, a MacBook Pro and some jewelry.
Authorities said, they found the 27-year-old’s fingerprints on a pencil holder in the home. The oldest of the six teenagers, later found in the Acura SUV, did not have permission to be in the house, the home owner told police.
About an hour later, that Acura reportedly fled from an armed robbery in a parking lot on the 900 block of North Federal Highway, south of Glades Road.
An officer quickly spotted the Acura heading west on Yamato Road.
