Three men are dead after their car slammed into a home in a Davie area apartment complex following a reported shooting, the Palm Beach County Sheriff’s Office said.
Families inside the 16-unit building in the Palo Verde apartment complex said they felt their homes shake.
An 18-year-old was asleep in the unit above where the car crashed. He said he and his father figured the A/C had exploded.
The boy said, they walked onto their balcony and saw the smoking car.
A neighbor said the six people who were inside the apartment, four adults and two children, were all reported in critical condition after the wreck.
A silver Lincoln sedan, which had a temporary license plate on it, was completely inside that family’s living room.
The 32-year-old neighbor was among dozens of neighbors watching investigators work to remove the car from the home.
Authorities evacuated that building because of fears of structural damage the crash may have caused, Florida Highway Patrol said.
Sheriff’s investigators disclosed that the cause of the car crash is still under investigation and asked anyone with additional information concerning the crash to contact the department.
Accident attorney Jason Weisser of Schuler, Halvorson, Weisser, Zoeller and Overbeck responded to this unfortunate crash. “This is a serious accident resulting in a fatality. We hope the investigators can quickly determine what caused the accident. Please be careful and obey the speed limits whenever you are driving a motorcycle, car, SUV or truck.
