Two-Vehicle Crash Kills Four And Left Three Critical
A woman was killed after her car crashed into a concrete barrier on a crash-prone highway overpass in Boca Raton before hitting a black Mitsubishi, Florida Highway Patrol reports.
Authorities identified the woman killed in as Betty Jeremy Clean of Hobe Sound.
The woman was driving on southbound on Interstate 95 and failed to turn right at the Congress Avenue interchange. She struck the concrete center median and veered into a black Mitsubishi, Florida Highway Patrol says.
She and six teens were in the four-door sedan and she was not wearing a seat belt.
Three of the teens suffered non-life threatening injuries and were rushed to a nearby hospital, while the other three were confirmed dead at the crash scene, according to the Florida Highway Patrol.
The driver of the Mitsubishi sustain minor injuries and is currently being questioned by police officials.
It isn’t clear yet whether drugs or alcohol impairment played a role in the crash, the report indicates.
There have been at least five other wrecks at the Congress Avenue overpass, according to data from the Florida Department of Transportation.
