Four Dead, Six Injured After West Palm Beach Car Crash
Four people are dead and six others injured after a crash at the intersection Banyan Boulevard and North Australian Avenue, West Palm Beach police said.
The two-car wreck killed the front passengers in both vehicles, according to authorities. Both drivers and four other passengers were injured as well.
Authorities said that a Nissan Altima was speeding north on Australian Avenue in West Palm when it crashed into a Toyota Camry that was heading west on Banyan and about to turn south onto Australian Ave.
A Lincoln traveling south on Australian saw the crash and stopped. That driver said, the Camry’s front passenger, a 23-year-old of Broward County was thrown from the car and hit the Lincoln’s front bumper. The 23-year-old, who records indicate lived in Broward County, died at a hospital. The Camry’s driver was seriously injured in the wreck and police said it is unclear whether he will survive. They have not publicly identified that man.
The Altima’s front passenger, 31-year-old of Riviera Beach, died at the scene. The Altima’s driver, a 44-year-old, broke both of his legs but is expected to survive. The back passenger, 25-year-old, sustained non-life threatening injuries in the crash. Police arrested him on a charged of carrying a concealed firearm. Records indicate they both live in Riviera Beach as well.
Two people also died in the crash but have not yet been identified by police officials. The other four who were injured in the crash also have not yet been identified FHP.
Authorities are asking anyone who saw the crash or who has information about it to call West Palm Beach police
