A man in his late 40’s has been taken to Martin County Hospital with serious burns.
The man is still in a critical condition after his motorcycle exploded in a crash with a SUV.
Emergency Services responded to the accident near the corner of Ocean Breeze Park and Rio where the motorcyclist received serious burns.
Eyewitnesses rushed out of their homes and businesses after hearing the crash and found the man and his bike on fire.
The bike landed on the footpath outside RealLife Enterprises on Ocean Breeze Park.
Luckily, the manager had water hose near the front door of the shop which helped to extinguish the flames.
Police are still investigating, but eyewitnesses said cars often use the street to perform U-turns back onto Rio.
Charges have not been filed yet according to the Florida Highway Patrol, as it isn’t sure if drugs or alcohol had a rule to play in the crash
Coconut Creek is closed.
