Man Killed In Interstate 95 Rollover Crash That Left Two Others Critical
A 53-year-old man died in a rollover crash on Interstate 95 in Palm Beach County, according to reports made by the Florida Highway Patrol officials.
The 53-year-old man had died when the Toyota Corolla he was driving crashed into a pickup truck and then rolled over on Interstate 95 in Palm Beach County, police authorities and the Florida Highway Patrol officials said.
The crash happened in the highway’s northbound lanes near the Interstate 95 and East 9th Street exit, police authorities and the Florida Highway patrol officials said.
The 53-year-old man died after Palm Beach County EMS took him to Delray Medical Center. The Delray Medical Examiner’s Office has not yet released his name.
The pickup truck driver and one of his passengers were both unconscious at the time of the crash and was taken to a nearby hospital.
The man was driving a 1998 Jeep Grand Cherokee when it went off the left side of road around a curve. The Jeep rolled over onto its roof before it came to a stop, police said.
Firefighters extricated the man from the Jeep.
Speed appears to be a factor in the crash, police said.
The main cause of the crash is still under investigation as the Indian River County Police officials are trying to figure out if alcohol or drugs had a part to play in the crash.
