David Kimberly, 46, was out for a drive with his 41-year-old wife, Rosemary Kimberly, before the crash happened, FHP said.

The FHP report said, a 22-year-old Okeechobee woman was driving her 2000 Ford F-150 east on Southwest Warfield Boulevard about 10 miles northwest of Indiantown when she left her lane and entered the westbound lane where Kimberly was driving a 1988 Ford sedan. The cars collided and Kimberly’s car was engulfed in flames, according to FHP reports.

Rosemary and the Ford driver were flown to Lawnwood Regional Medical Center in Fort Pierce with serious injuries. The Ford driver’s passenger, a 16-year-old girl, was driven to Martin Hospital South with minor injuries.

Kimberly and his ex-wife, have a 9-year-old daughter together. His ex-wife, who spoke in Spanish, said their daughter is heartbroken.

She said, Kimberly had been in the U.S. for 11 years.

It wasn’t immediately known whether the Ford driver or Kimberly were under the influence of alcohol or any of the four people were wearing seat belts at the time of the crash, FHP said. The wreck remains under investigation.
