Gas Station Car Crash Killed A Motorist And Two Male Passengers
A motorist and two of his passenger were killed in a car wreck on Palm Beach County after the car plowed into a gas station fuel pump and burst into flames, police and the Florida Highway Patrol said.
The driver was traveling west on Sebastian just past the intersection of Delray Beach Highway in the hamlet of Gifford when he lost control of the 2013 Audi and struck a gas pump, cops and the Florida Highway Patrol Department said.
The vehicle caught fire, according to the Palm Beach County Police Department.
Both the driver and the two male passengers were pronounced dead at the scene by the office of the Palm Beach County medical examiner.
The victim’s names were withheld pending family notification.
Photos of the aftermath of the horrific crash show the gas station’s canopy semi-collapsed and the Audi mangled.
The main cause of the car crash is still under investigation according to the Florida Highway Patrol Department. “If you know you have any relevant information that can help in speeding up our investigation, we encourage you to contact the Department,” an FHP officer said.
