The Florida Highway Patrol said, all lanes were reopened since the crash involving a tractor-trailer and a car. For several hours, only one land was open.
According to the Florida Highway Patrol Department, three tractor-trailers were traveling Southbound on I-95. The first two semi-trailers slowed down because of highway construction.
A Florida Highway Patrol Corporal said, the third tractor-trailer failed to stop. Officials confirmed the driver of the first semi was killed and the driver of the second semi was transported to Bethesda East with minor injuries.
Police have not identified any of the victims. “Gotta pay attention to traffic in front of you. It was an early morning crash,” the FHP Corporal said. “This is the time people are going to work. They are tired. Gotta pay attention to the vehicles in front of you.”
During the morning commute, drivers traveling southbound were diverted from the highway. The FHP Department is encouraging anyone with more information concerning the crash to contact the FHP Department.
