Four-Car Crash In Boca Raton Kills One And Left Several Critical
A crash involving at least four vehicles on the Boca Raton Parkway in Palm Beach County left one person dead and several injured, police officials and the Florida Highway Patrol officials said.
A 31-year-old man behind the wheel of one of the vehicles was driving 120 mph when his car jumped the center guardrail on the roadway near 188th Street in Boca Raton, Florida Highway Patrol said.
Three passengers in his car were injured, they said.
A woman trapped in one of the vehicles frantically screamed at passers-by for help, witnesses said.
“She was trying to climb out of the big SUV from the top,” a witness said. “She started screaming and crying and then the police came to help her.”
Florida Highway Patrol officials said, the dead victim was a man in his 20’s. The seven people injured in the crash were rushed to a hospital in Palm Beach County.
A 35-year-old cab driver said he will never forget seeing the tangled wreckage.
“I saw them bring out a person out of a gray car,” said the 35-year-old cab driver “He was lifeless and already dead.”
The FHP said, the cause of the crash is still under investigation.
