Man In His Mid 20’s Struck By Vehicle While Riding Motorcycle In Port St. Lucie
A man in his mid-20’s was reportedly struck by a car while riding his motorcycle in Port St. Lucie near White City in St. Lucie County.
The man remains in a stable condition at the Port St. Lucie Hospital and is expected to be have surgery to treat a fracture sustained in his right leg.
Florida Highway Patrol attended to the crash. St. Lucie County Fire and Emergency Services were called to the scene.
The man was taken to the hospital in a stable condition.
Details of the incident are unclear, but St. Lucie County Government laws stipulate that a one-meter clearance must be provided by motorists to cyclists in areas at a 60mph speed limit or less, and 1.5m where the speed limit is over 60mph.
Charges have reportedly not been pressed against the driver of the vehicle, as the Florida Highway Patrol officials are trying to determine if drugs or alcohol had been a factor in the crash.
