Crash On Interstate 95 Leaves Six Injured
Six people were injured in a crash on Interstate 95 near Indiantown Road.
The 35-year-old Stuart man identified as Nicholas suffered an unimaginable loss when a rear tire on the passenger van he was driving came apart on Interstate 95 near Indiantown Road in Jupiter, causing him to lose control.
The van smashed into the center median before bouncing off and traveling back onto the highway where it was T-boned by another vehicle.
The resulting carnage was horrific. Three of Nicholas’s six children were critical injured at the scene and were taken to local hospitals. Three adults in the van, longtime friends of Nicholas, were also injured.
Nicholas and his 15-year-daughter Veronica also sustained serious injuries but they were not life threatening.
Nicholas was taken to Delray Medical Center, where he was unconscious for three days after the crash. He awoke to find a room full of people, including family and troopers from the Florida Highway Patrol.
