Seven Injured After Four-Vehicle Crash In Palm Beach County
A pair of Palm Beach County teens were badly hurt when a car rammed into them as they were leaving school.
The female high school students, who are 16-years-old, were standing near NE Jensen Beach Boulevard with two friends as a crash involving four vehicles occurred, according to witnesses and the Palm Beach County Police.
One of the cars jumped off the road, hit a tree, then a pole and then rammed into the group on the sidewalk, a police commissioner told reporters at the scene.
The car then turned over. The girls are both in critical condition and one of them had to be airlifted to the hospital, Florida Highway Patrol officials said.
The other two students, a boy and a girl who are also about 16, suffered non-life-threatening injuries.
Police are still investigating how the crash happened, the commissioner said. Although it suspects that either drugs or alcohol may have had a part to play in the crash
Three passengers in the car, identified as a 13, 15 and 25, were seriously injured and taken to a nearby hospital, the Florida Highway Patrol officials said.
