Horrific Fort Pierce Crash Left Multiple Injuries
A woman has been listed in critical condition and a seriously injured man remained trapped following a crash on Sunrise Boulevard in Fort Pierce.
The man was trapped in a car with serious injuries while the woman was in a critical condition after the crash on Sunrise Boulevard, west of St. Lucie County.
Another three people including a five-year-old girl are suffering minor injuries following the multiple vehicle crash.
Four ambulances are at the scene with a medical rescue helicopter en route from Gold Coast.
“The second vehicle has a female patient in a critical condition and a male patient trapped with serious injuries being assessed and treated,” she said. Passengers in the other vehicle were a five-year-old female with a minor head injuries, a 17-year-old male with chest pain, and a 23-year-old with fractured back bones.
One adult occupant of a second vehicle suffered minor injuries. A five-year-old girl is being treated for head injuries.
According to the Florida Highway Patrol, drugs or alcohol may have played a part in the crash.
