Man Struck And Injured By Vehicle In Delray Beach
A man has been airlifted to the hospital after being struck by a car in Delray Beach.
Emergency services received reports a pedestrian had been hit by a car and was trapped underneath the vehicle.
Police have launched an investigation after the man was reported critical when he was struck by a vehicle in Delray Beach Avenue.
Emergency services were called to Delray Beach, near the intersection of Boynton Beach, after the Florida Highway Patrol reported a man had been struck by a vehicle. Traffic and the Florida Highway Patrol officers arrived to find a man, of unknown age, trapped under a vehicle.
Palm Beach County Ambulance paramedics rendered CPR, however, the man died at the scene.
Crash scene investigators are currently on scene investigating the circumstances surrounding the fatality. Police and the Florida Highway Patrol said, the driver of the vehicle was not severely injured during the incident.
She was taken to a nearby hospital for mandatory drug and alcohol testing.
A crime scene was established and examined by specialist officers from the Crash Investigation Unit.
Inquiries into the matter are continuing and a report will be prepared soon.
