Boynton Beach police and the Florida Highway Patrol are investigating a crash involving a motorcycle and a vehicle that left a man critically injured.
The crash happened along the northbound lanes of Congress Avenue, according to Florida Highway Patrol.
Police officials and the Florida Highway Patrol say the driver of a 2016 Mazda CX5, identified as an 88-year-old man of Boynton Beach, was traveling north on Congress Avenue and made a left turn to go into the Bank of America parking lot when it collided with a 2007 Triumph motorcycle traveling south.
The motorcyclist, identified as 32-year-old Paul Fambrough of Boynton Beach, was transported to a local hospital where he remains in critical condition.
The driver of the Mazda was not injured.
The Florida Highway Patrol is asking anyone who witnessed the crash or who has relevant information concerning the cause of the car crash is encouraged to contact the Boynton Beach police department.
