Boynton Beach Man Critically Injured After Car Accident In Martin County

A Boynton Beach man was critically injured in a head-on crash in Martin County that left his car in flames, according to the Florida Highway Patrol.

Dave Frank was injured in the crash which took place in Martin County, Florida Highway Patrol officials said.

The 45-year-old man was in Martin County when a woman entered his lane of traffic

The report said, a 27-year-old woman of Okeechobee was driving her 2000 Ford F-150 east on Southwest Warfield Boulevard about 10 miles northwest of Indiantown when she exited her lane and entered the westbound lane where Dave was driving a 1988 Ford sedan. The cars collided and Dave’s car was “engulfed in flames,” according to Florida Highway Patrol officials.

Dave was left unconscious at the scene. Dave’s passenger’s, a 33-year-old man and the 20-year-old woman were transported to Lawnwood Medical Center in Fort Pierce with serious injuries. The 30-year-old woman’s passenger, a 17-year-old girl, was driven to Martin Hospital South with minor injuries.

It wasn’t immediately known whether the 30-year-old or Dave were under the influence of alcohol or any of the four people were wearing seat belts at the time of the crash, Florida Highway Patrol officials said. The wreck remains under investigation.
