A 37-year-old man, who works at a catering hall on 54th Street and 15th Avenue, allegedly stole the Honda Odyssey from the Royal Parking garage to run an errand when he struck the victims at N. Indian River Drive in Roseland, police and the Florida Highway Patrol Department said.

It wasn’t immediately clear if the vehicle belonged to a man attending an event at the hall, police said, but the driver was not authorized to use it.

The driver, who remained at the scene after the accident, was charged with unauthorized use of a vehicle without the owner’s consent and was slapped with a violation on an active warrant for a marijuana-based offense, cops said.

The young girl, identified as Regina Franklin, was rushed to Delray Medical Center. After being struck, the mother was pinned beneath the minivan, witnesses said.

The mom was rushed to Delray Medical Center.

Meanwhile, in another accident, a pedestrian was in serious condition after being stuck by a vehicle at Gifford Avenue and Avenue N, police said.

The victim, a 58-year-old man, is still clinging to life at Indian River County Hospital.
