Separate Car Crashes In Martin County Leaves Several Injured

Seven people were critically injured in two car crashes in Martin County.

A 41-year-old man and six others were injured , including two critically, when a speeding BMW hit a Cadillac in Martin County, Florida Highway Patrol officials said.

The BMW was speeding down Jensen Beach when it struck the Cadillac at 219th Street, Florida Highway Patrol said.

Two 14-year-olds ,who were in the Cadillac with the driver, were hospitalized in stable condition in Port Salerno.

The 25-year-old man who was driving the BMW and a 39-year-old female passenger were in critical condition, police said. All of the injured were taken to a hospital in Port Salerno.

Several hours later, a crash on Port Salerno left about 6 others hurt, including three critically, Florida Highway Patrol said.

The accident involved 10 cars and happened at Port Salerno and Indiantown Avenue. Six people were treated at Delray Medical Center and four were taken to a hospital in the Martin County.

Florida Highway Patrol officials said, the crash is still under investigation as police authorities are still trying to determine the major cause of the crash.
