An out-of-control driver jumped the curb and slammed into a SUV in Broward County, critically injuring his passenger and the driver of the SUV, police said.
The 33-year-old driver of the 2004 Nissan Altima was traveling northbound on SW 10th Street and Linton Blvd when the car jumped the curb and plowed into a SUV, Florida Highway Patrol officials said.
Emergency responders found the driver and his 27-year-old passenger inside the mangled vehicle with severe body trauma, police said.
The driver was rushed to Delray Medical Center, where he was listed in critical condition.
The driver of the SUV is also currently in a hospital in Delray Beach.
Paramedics rushed the 33-year-old man’s passenger to a hospital in Broward County.
Cops arrested the driver on charges of vehicular manslaughter for the collision.
Police sources said, that speeding was a factor in the crash.
Fire officials said, two other people were hospitalized in stable condition as a result of the crash.
The crash shut down a stretch of SW 10th Street and Linton Boulevard until police finished their investigation.
