22-Year-Old Intoxicated In Palm Beach Car Crash That Injured One
A 22-year-old suburban Lake Worth man faces DUI charges after a crash that sent a 63-year-old driver to the hospital.
The Palm Beach County Sheriff’s Office had arrested a 22-year-old Port Salerno man in the case.
According to a Palm Beach Sheriff Office report, the 22-year-old was under the influence of both alcohol and marijuana when the car crash occurred at the intersection of Hagen Ranch Road and Hypoluxo Road.
The 22-year-old is accused of running a red light and crashing into John Peterson of suburban Lake Worth, Florida Highway Patrol officials said.
Palm Beach Sheriff Office says, 63-year-old John Peterson was driving a 2014 Nissan Altima north on Hagen Ranch Road when he tried to make a left turn onto Hypoluxo Road.
Peterson’s Altima was hit on the driver’s side by a 2013 Hyundai Sonata driven by the 22-year-old, which was heading east on Hypoluxo Road.
Peterson was admitted at Delray Medical Center on the day of the wreck.
The 22-year-old driver admitted to an investigator that he had smoked marijuana before the wreck.
