46-Year-Old Woman Struck And Hospitalized After Car Incident In Pembroke Pines
Pembroke Pines Police authorities and the Florida Highway Patrol responded to crash in Pembroke Pines critically injured a 46-year-old woman identified only as Catherine.
The incident occurred at 1800 North University Drive in Pembroke Pines.
A 33-year-old man was driving a white 1998 Mitsubishi Mirage southbound on University Drive when 46-year-old woman crossed the University Drive without using a crosswalk, the Palm Beach Sheriff Office said.
According to Florida Highway Patrol Officials, Catherine walked into the path of the white Mitsubishi and was struck.
She was transported to Memorial Regional Hospital where she was listed in critical condition.
The 33-year -Mitsubishi driver was at the scene of the incident when Florida Highway Patrol and police official-old arrived. Pembroke Pines Police officials said, the driver and three of his passengers are currently being interviewed by both the Florida Highway Patrol Officials and the Pembroke Pines Police Department.
Pembroke Pines Police are still trying to determine if either drugs or alcohol had a part to play in the crash.
This is still an on-going investigation and charges haven’t been filed yet
