A man driving the wrong way on a one-way street in Martin County was left critical when he crashed his car into a truck, FHP authorities said.
The gray Toyota Camry was headed southbound on a northbound stretch of Port Salerno in Martin County when it collided with the dump truck turning right onto Jensen Beach near the Hobe Sound Expressway, according to Florida Highway Patrol.
The truck driver, who was heading to West Palm Beach at the time of the crash, sustained minor head injuries and was rush to Martin County General Hospital.
Two other passengers in his truck were uninjured, according to Florida Highway Patrol officials.
The 52-year-old Toyota Camry driver was admitted in Delray Beach Medical Center in Palm Beach County.
His passenger, a 15-year-old Port Salerno girl was also injure, police authorities said.
Investigators said, they are still investigating what caused the driver (who police haven’t identified yet) to be going the wrong way. Alcohol is considered a factor in the crash, but it hasn’t been confirmed yet.
