Another man, Victor Josh, 34, of Daytona Beach, was also critical. The crash happened shortly after mile marker 242, about 20 miles south of Delray Beach, according to a Florida Highway Patrol spokesperson.
According to a Florida Highway Patrol and the Palm Beach Sheriff Office crash report, Standish was driving north in the southbound lanes when his Honda Insight collided with Jeremiah’s Cadillac, causing the SUV to catch fire. It was not clear how he ended up traveling in the wrong direction. Investigators are trying to determine whether alcohol was a factor.
The Florida Highway Patrol and the Palm Beach Sheriff Office is urging anyone with relevant information concerning the crash to contact the Florida Highway Patrol.
