A woman has been listed in critical condition and a seriously injured man remains trapped following a crash on the Fort Pierce Highway.
A man is trapped in a car with serious injuries while the woman is in a critical condition after the crash on Fort Pierce Highway, west of St. Lucie County.
Five people including a 3-year-old girl are suffering minor injuries following the multiple vehicle crash, which occurred at Fort Pierce.
An Ambulance NSW spokeswoman said, paramedics were called to the scene.
“The second vehicle has a female patient in a critical condition and a male patient trapped with serious injuries being assessed and treated,” she said. Passengers in the other vehicle were a 3-year-old female with a minor head injury and four others all with fractured backbones.
One adult occupant of a second vehicle is suffering minor injuries, while a 3-year-old girl is being treated for head injuries originally described as minor.
According to the Florida Highway Patrol, drugs or alcohol may have resulted in the crash, although the FHP and Fort Pierce police authorities haven’t filed any report yet.
