PAHOKEE — A toddler died after a car backed over him on the Pahokee driveway where he was playing, Palm Beach County Sheriff’s Office authorities said.
The Palm Beach Sheriff Office said, a 29-year-old backed a 2005 Lexus ES 330 into his driveway on Amaryllis Avenue west of South Lake Avenue.
The 29-year-old told sheriff’s authorities he felt a bump and then heard screaming.
He got out of the car and found 15-month-old Tremain Milian trapped under the car.
The 15-month-old was playing in the driveway of his Pahokee home, Palm Beach Sheriff Office said.
Tremain was taken to St. Mary’s Medical Center in West Palm Beach where he died an hour later.
A crash report indicates the 29-year-old man may have been under the influence either of drugs or alcohol at the time of the accident. He is currently not facing charges in connection to Tremain’s death, according to the Florida Highway Patrol.
The report does not specify the relationship between the 29-year-old man and Tremain Milian.
