Six people were taken to Palm Beach Hospital after two semi-trailers collided on Interstate 95.
The West Palm Beach police department reported that a 31-year-old man of West Palm Beach, was traveling northbound when he lost control of his truck and ran off the right hand side of the roadway.
The 31-year-old man attempted to correct his trajectory to the left and crossed the center line into the left lane, according to the Florida Highway Patrol officials.
He struck the right side of the trailer being hauled by Jeremih King, 28, of Hobe Sound, who was traveling in the northbound left lane.
The 31-year-old man went off the right side of the roadway again striking the guardrail and the bridge support column.
The 31-year old driver and four of his passengers received non-life threatening injuries and were transported to Delray Medical Center.
Jeremih was also reported in critical condition.
The West Palm Beach Highway Patrol was assisted on scene by Boca Raton Fire Department, Ed’s Towing, Florida Highway Patrol officials, The West Palm Department of Transportation and Hanco EMS.
The wreck closed the intersection of Okeechobee Boulevard and Wellington Road 7.
