Two Different Martin County Car Crash Left Over Eight People With Severe Injuries

A 56-year-old man was injured and three others were hurt, including two critical, when a speeding BMW hit a Cadillac in Martin County, Florida Highway Patrol officials said.

The BMW was speeding down Jensen Beach when it struck the Cadillac at Palm City, Florida Highway Patrol authorities and Martin County Sheriff Office said.

A 17-year-old, who was in the Cadillac with the driver, was hospitalized in stable condition in Port Salerno.

The 56-year-old man, who was driving the BMW, and a 28-year-old female passenger were in critical condition, police said. All of the injured were taken to a hospital in Port Salerno.

Several hours later, a crash in Port Salerno left 5 unjured, including three critically, Florida Highway Patrol officials said.

The accident involved 6 cars and happened at Port Salerno and Indiantown Avenue. Three people were treated at Delray Medical Center, and two were taken to a hospital in the Martin County.

Florida Highway Patrol officials said, the crash is still under investigation as police authorities are still trying to determine the major cause of the crash.
